Exposition Text : What's so hard to be an Architect?

Hello everyone... How are you today?? In the midst of the pandemic that is currently hitting, I hope your condition remains healthy and enthusiastic. At this meeting, we will discuss the exposition text. First, what do you know about text exposition? Please check below!

Exposition Text is a collection of sentences that aim to discuss an idea from the reader's point of view. This text has 2 kinds, as follows:

- Hortatory Exposition 

is a type of exposition text that begins with a statement containing the problem / issue which is used as the theme of the writing, then supported by various arguments / statements and supporting evidence that can lead the reader to the author's point of view and closes with suggestions or recommendations from the author on what that should have done or occurred related to the problem or issue presented at the start.


- Analytical Exposition

is a type of exposition text that begins with a statement that shows the attitude, opinion, statement or position of the author on the theme being discussed which is then supported by various arguments and closes with an affirmation or restatement of the opinion stated at the beginning.


Text Structure / Generic Structure

→Thesis

→Argument

→Reiteration


Linguistic Elements

→Using the simple present tense

→Many use conjunctions (conjunctions) such as because of, so, therefore, the reason, and others.

→Contains arguments.

→Many use words that contain cause and effect

→Using vocabulary that can evoke the reader's emotions such as: amused,      concern, innocent, monster, unreasonable etc.

Before that, what was architecture?
Architecture is the art or practice of designing and building structures and building construction. In a broader sense, architecture can include designing and building the entire built environment at the macro level, for example city planning, not just one building and its accessories.

The criteria that can be said that architecture is strong and beautiful. A beautiful design is a design that has a solid frame. Therefore, it is not arbitrary for people to design the framework of a development. This person must have responsibility for the project he is working on.

There are 6 duties and scope of architects, namely:
1) Drafting designs,                                     4) Making work drawing
2) Making schematic designs                    5) Procuring construction Implemantion
3) Developing designs                                6) Periodic supervision


 




Studying architecture is not just designing objects, but also a unity of environmental management including its psychological elements. As stated by Laurens (2004: 26) that architecture is not just a status object or a collection of physical objects that will decay. Studying this field also means studying things that are invisible as part of reality, a concrete reality and a symbolic reality.

It sounds complex, but this happens because this field is not a work designed and made only to adapt or express something like the field of art and design in general. Simply put, a house is a basic need of society, not just an ornamental object or a means of expression. But the house itself is a means of expression for society. So that this science involves many disciplines that are quite complex and involve many social circles as well.
